Famed cellist Yo-Yo Ma canceled his scheduled rehearsal and efficiency at Tanglewood this weekend after testing constructive for the COVID-19 virus.

The Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO) introduced the information on its web site, saying, “Sadly, cellist Yo-Yo Ma has needed to withdraw from Saturday’s Open Rehearsal as a result of testing constructive for COVID-19. We’re lucky that unparalleled American soprano Renée Fleming has graciously agreed to step in to hitch the BSO.”
