A bunch of 5 folks on bicycles, all of whom seem like youngsters, illegally biked by Boston’s O’Neill Tunnel on I-93 Friday night, as seen in video of the incident and confirmed by a press release from the Massachusetts Division of Transportation.
The 5 cyclists might be seen swerving into the tunnel from O’Brien Freeway/Storrow Drive eastbound and driving in between lanes of visitors. The group entered the tunnel round 5 p.m. on Friday, a MassDOT spokesperson advised Boston.com in an e mail. “The group cleared the roadway with out incident,” MassDOT stated.
One bicycle owner might be seen popping a wheelie because the group stalls and diverts visitors behind them. The 5 cyclists peddled onto I-93 South, showing to exit on the Authorities Middle exit close to Faneuil Corridor.
In September 2018, a girl calmly biked by the O’Neill tunnel on a Blue Bike, and in 2019, dozens of younger bikers entered the tunnel, dangerously weaving between lanes.
