Two 12-year-olds are dealing with a handful of fees in reference to Friday’s daytime vandalism of a Catholic church in East Bridgewater.

East Bridgewater police and firefighters responded to St. John the Evangelist at 210 Central Avenue on Friday afternoon. An preliminary investigation discovered a fireplace had been set close to the church’s altar, damaging the altar fabric in addition to a Bible. A witness and video footage led investigators to charging the 2 12-year-olds, a boy and a woman, East Bridgewater police stated Tuesday. The 12-year-olds can be arraigned in Brockton District Juvenile Courtroom.
