Transportation Secretary Gina Fiandaca steps down from Healey Administration

Transportation Secretary Gina Fiandaca will prematurely step down from her position as Gov. Maura Healey’s high transportation official after eight months, in line with a press release from the governor’s workplace. 

The state introduced Monday that Fiandaca’s final day will probably be Sept. 11. Appointed in January, Fiandaca is the primary official to depart Healey’s administration.  

No motive has been supplied for Fiandaca’s departure.

Tibbits-Nutt has served because the undersecretary since January. Beforehand she served on the MassDOT board of administrators. From 2015-2021, Tibitts-Nutt served as vice chair of the Fiscal Administration and Management Boards which oversaw the MBTA
