Police determine man killed in daytime Dorchester taking pictures

James Jones, 30, was killed Friday afternoon.

Boston police on Monday launched the identify of the person who was shot and killed in a daytime taking pictures in Dorchester final week. 

Police stated officers responded round 2 p.m. on Friday to a radio name for an individual shot at 46 Corona St. and on the scene they discovered a person affected by life-threatening gunshot wounds. 

The person, James Jones, 30, of Dorchester, died on the scene. 

Police stated the investigation into his homicide stays beneath investigation. Anybody with info is being urged to contact police at 617-343-4470. Info will be offered anonymously by calling the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1-800-494-TIPS or by texting the phrase “TIP” to CRIME (27463).
