Police: 23-year-old Springfield man dies in bike crash on I-91

This was the second deadly bike crash in two months on that stretch of freeway.

A 23-year-old Springfield man died after crashing his bike on Interstate 91 southbound, in keeping with Massachusetts State Police.

Round 2:30 p.m. Friday, police mentioned a person driving a 2007 Kawasaki bike crashed it into the again of a 2018 Jeep SUV. The operator was ejected and struck a stationary put up, in keeping with officers.  

Emergency responders and the officer on patrol carried out CPR on the person, who was not responsive, Mass Reside reported. 

The operator was dropped at Baystate Medical Middle with life-threatening accidents, the place he was pronounced useless shortly after 6 p.m., police mentioned. 

The crash occurred simply over a month after 24-year-old Edwin Perez of Chicopee died in a motorbike collision on the northbound facet of I-91.

The crash is presently underneath investigation by state police.
