Edward was born in Los Angeles, in 1934, the youngest of his three siblings, the late Hedda, Norman and Joan. His insatiable curiosity and keenness for all times have been evident from an early age. At age 19, he left Caltech to hitch the USA Airforce to develop into a fighter pilot. This profession introduced Edward to the Boston space when he was assigned to the MIT Lincoln Laboratory, the place he turned one of many early pc programmers.
