Native obituary: Aubrianna Serra, 10, ‘gave her life to guard her household’

Aubrianna Lynn Serra, 10, gave her life to guard her household. She died at Boston Kids’s Hospital on August 17, 2023, resulting from issues from a gunshot wound.

She was born in Springfield on April 7, 2013, to Christopher Serra Sr. and Stephanie Croteau. She was the happiest little lady who liked princesses, dancing, the outside, and naturally her household. Aubrianna’s comfortable place was her nice grandfather’s lake home, in addition to annual household journeys to Maine. She took gymnastics at All American in Wilbraham; she was a member of Lady’s on the Run.

Aubrianna is three days predeceased by her “Mima” Kim M. Fairbanks and beloved canine Gotti.

She is survived by her mother and father Stephanie Croteau of Springfield and Christopher Serra Sr. of Springfield; her siblings Christopher Serra Jr. and Michele Bodley; her grandparents Geraldine Duffy and David Serra, Scott Fairbanks, Jeffrey Croteau Sr. and his spouse Nicole Croteau, Larry “Nice Pepere” Croteau, “Gigi” Diane Przechocki, and lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation for Aubrianna and Kim might be on Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Sampsons Chapels of the Acres 21 Tinkham Highway, Springfield, MA 01129. Funeral rites are personal for the household.
