It didn’t take lengthy after Jack Jones’ arrest on gun expenses Friday night time for a specific tweet from the Patriots cornerback to resurface.
Jones was arrested at Logan Airport on Friday after officers mentioned two firearms have been present in his baggage. Only a month earlier, Jones tweeted his frustration at Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant for brandishing a gun in a social-media video for the second time in three months.

The ill-timed tweet in relation to Jones’ present authorized troubles has not been misplaced on many followers and writers, who’ve harped on the irony of Jones’ criticism of Morant.
NFL Twitter persona Dov Kleiman tweeted on Sunday about how Jones’ tweet directed at Morant “didn’t age nicely” for the Patriots defensive again, prompting a response from Jones’ teammate, Matthew Judon.
“Don’t let somebody’s low mild be [your] personal excessive mild,” Judon tweeted Monday morning in response to Kleiman. “We [hope] this seems higher for the child.”
Regardless of Judon’s protection of his teammate, Jones is in a troubling authorized spot following Friday’s arrest.
Jones, who will reportedly be arraigned on Tuesday in East Boston Municipal Court docket, had his bail set at $50,000 after getting booked on the State Police’s Logan Airport barracks.
Police instructed The Globe that Jones is dealing with two counts of the next expenses: possession of a hid weapon in a safe space of an airport, possession of ammunition with out a firearm identification card, illegal possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, and possession of a large-capacity feeding machine.
“If he have been convicted and sentenced consecutively on every cost he’d face greater than 30 years in jail,” James Borghesani, a spokesperson for Suffolk District Lawyer Kevin R. Hayden’s workplace, instructed The Globe.
