SEATTLE (AP) — Julio Rodríguez hit a tiebreaking RBI single and stole residence in a four-run seventh inning, main the Seattle Mariners to a 6-3 win over the Boston Pink Sox on Wednesday.
Rodríguez hit a broken-bat grounder that rolled into left discipline when Boston shortstop Yu Chang and third baseman Rafael Devers collided whereas attempting to discipline the ball, permitting Tom Murphy to attain.
Eugenio Suárez adopted with an RBI single to proper discipline, giving the Mariners a two-run lead. Then, Rodriguez, on a double steal with Suárez, scored from third when Boston catcher Connor Wong threw to second base.
Jarren Duran opened the scoring with a two-run homer within the third towards Mariners starter Logan Gilbert, and Mastaka Yoshida made it 3-0 with a run-scoring infield single within the fifth.
Cal Raleigh hit a two-run homer off Pink Sox reliever John Schreiber (1-1) within the sixth, and Cade Marlowe tied it up with a pinch-hit single within the seventh off Richard Bleier.
Pink Sox starter Kutter Crawford allowed 4 hits over 5 shutout innings, whereas Gilbert allowed three runs and 5 hits over six frames with 5 strikeouts.
Matt Brash (7-3), Gabe Speier, Justin Topa, and Andrés Muñoz mixed for 3 shutout innings in aid, with Muñoz incomes his third save.

Pink Sox first baseman Triston Casas was named American League Rookie of the Month for July. Casas hit a career-high .349 final month, with a .442 on-base share, .758 slugging share, and 7 homers and 13 RBIs.

Pink Sox third baseman Justin Turner was out of the lineup for the second straight day after struggling a heel contusion in Monday’s sport. He’s anticipated to play Friday, towards Toronto.
