Orange Line riders briefly confronted delays and shuttle buses Tuesday morning as MBTA crews labored to restore a cracked rail close to Meeting Station in Somerville.

T spokesperson Lisa Battiston stated the defect was reported close to the Dana Bridge between Meeting and Wellington Station round 5:15 a.m. — concerning the time service often begins on the Orange Line. 

Shuttle buses changed trains between Malden Middle and Sullivan Sq. whereas crews made repairs, and Battiston stated common Orange Line service resumed round 7:10 a.m. In a put up on X, the platform previously often known as Twitter, the MBTA warned riders to count on residual delays of about quarter-hour.
