A prepare with a mechanical drawback at Central led the MBTA to dispatch shuttle buses Friday morning.

The MBTA has dispatched shuttle buses to exchange service between Harvard and Park Road stations on account of a prepare with a mechanical drawback at Central, the company tweeted Friday morning.
“Anticipate delays of a minimum of an hour with updates to observe,” the T tweeted at 9:52 a.m., the most recent of a collection of tweets on the issue.
A previous tweet inspired riders on the South Shore to “think about Commuter Rail Service from Braintree, Quincy Heart or JFK/UMass into downtown.”
