Man arrested for allegedly putting giant rocks in a Kingston highway, inflicting injury to autos

A 31-year-old man was arrested for allegedly putting giant rocks in the course of a Kingston highway repeatedly over the previous 6 months, leading to a number of automobile accidents, Kingston Police stated. 

Cameron Currier of Kingston was arrested and charged with 11 counts of malicious injury to a motorized vehicle and 9 counts of making an attempt to commit against the law after police say a camouflaged detective witnessed Currier place a rock in the course of Pembroke Road (Route 27) on Monday evening. 

Standing in a wooded space off the roadway, police say the camouflaged detective watched a automobile cease with its tailgate down, go away a big rock in the course of the highway, then pull onto close by Reed Road. Investigators made contact with Currier on his porch about 10 minutes later, officers stated. Currier allegedly admitted to driving the automobile in query, however denied stopping on Pembroke Road.

Inconsistencies in his story and different possible causes led Currier to be arrested, police stated. 

The stakeout on Pembroke Road was part of an ongoing investigation into the injury to a number of autos attributable to rocks within the space of Route 27, “inflicting fluid spills, disabling autos, and even inflicting airbag deployments,” police stated.
