MBTA bus drivers verbally, bodily attacked in separate incidents

One bus driver was shot with a pellet gun, and one other was threatened.

An MBTA driver was shot with a pellet gun whereas driving a bus Monday night, and one other was threatened with violence that morning, based on MBTA Transit Police.

Round 6 p.m., a bunch of juveniles was getting rowdy on a South Bay bus, police report. When the motive force requested them to cease, a male within the group reportedly shot the operator with a pellet gun earlier than he and the others fled the scene.

Police say the MBTA operator declined medical consideration, and so they have been in a position to arrest the juveniles they imagine to be accountable. The group was caught on the Anderson Sq. T cease on the Purple Line.

In an unrelated incident Monday round 8 a.m., a Route 28 bus operator was verbally assaulted by a passenger, police say. When the bus arrived at Nubian Sq., police say a passenger threatened violence earlier than punching a bus window.

The bus was reportedly taken out of service, and an investigation was launched. Police stated they didn’t know the reason for the outburst on the time.
