David Ok. Sullivan, 19, has been indicted in connection to the July loss of life of 17-year-old Sadie Mauro of Sherborn, Cape & Islands District Lawyer David Galibois introduced Tuesday.
On July 21, a ship carrying six passengers crashed right into a jetty in Sesuit Harbor in Dennis, killing Mauro and injuring one other passenger.
A grand jury indicted Sullivan, of Medfield, on expenses of loss of life of an individual attributable to working vessel/boat beneath the affect of intoxicating liquor, possession of false RMV paperwork, minor in possession of alcohol, operation of a vessel whereas beneath the affect of intoxication liquor inflicting severe bodily damage (two counts), and reckless or negligent operation of a vessel inflicting loss of life.
“The costs stem from an investigation carried out by a number of legislation enforcement companies together with [the] Dennis Police Division, Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Cape & Islands District Lawyer’s Workplace, Massachusetts Environmental Police, [the] State Police Marine Unit, Massachusetts State Police Dive Group, and the Barnstable County Regional Dive Group,” the DA’s workplace mentioned.
Sullivan is due for arraignment in Barnstable Superior Courtroom on Oct. 10.
In his announcement, Galibois confused that every one defendants in legal issues are presumed harmless, and he expressed his condolences to Mauro’s household. He added that he would make no additional touch upon the fees in opposition to Sullivan at the moment, “as a result of nature of this matter.”
